This week's table talk discussion was what breed of dog best describes God? There are as many answers to this question as there are breed and attributes of God. For starters, we talked about how God can be like a German Shepherd - protective and loyal. Then we talked about retrievers, such as those who retrieve ducks for duck hunters as God is the provider. There are also Sheep Dogs who watch carefully over the sheep. There are service dogs who aid us in this life and help us when we need it. Best of all, dogs are loving and full of grace and forgiveness. For those, like me, who own dogs, know that dogs are very happy to see you. It doesn't matter if you yelled at them before you left, they are always glad you are home. What attributes of God have you seen in your life?
